Walking in Hemingway's Footsteps

Ernest Hemingway was a worldly traveler. Before the age of twenty-five, Hemingway had seen Italy, Paris, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Constantinople. In his adult years, he traveled to Africa, Cuba, Hong Kong, Hawaii, and London. You now have the unique opportunity to travel to these places and walk in Hemingway's footsteps.

MILA Tours provides exclusive travel packages to Hemingway inspired destinations. From Paris to Italy to Africa to Spain, you can see what Hemingway loved about these special places. One of Hemingway's most brilliant gifts as a writer was his ability to describe a place: the sights, the sounds, the smells. His writing, however, can only take you so far. Experiencing the destination first-hand brings a new level of perception, a fourth and fifth dimension as Hemingway might say.

Visit MILA Tours for information on current packages and pricing.

I've felt a connection to Hemingway, through his writing since high school, (nearly 20 years). Seeind his image on the "E-TRADE" commercial, winking and smiling!, thrilled and saddened me all at once; yet, it was better to have, than to have not.

One place not listed above is Sun Valley, ID, where Ernest is buried. His house still sits in a quiet neighborhood, with all of his last belongings inside. Each fall, the area celebrates Ernest with a festival in his honor. This year, the festival will explore another of Hemingway's haunts: Paris. More info can be found on:
