Ernest Hemingway Who?

Ken Korczak, a writer for the Kittson County Top News Examiner, visited a convenience store one night in Minnesota and asked two high school seniors if they knew who Ernest Hemingway was. Both said no. Surprised by their response, Korczak decided to expand his study.

Hemingway's Hunt for German U-boats

During World War II, Ernest Hemingway and his beloved boat Pilar embarked on a mission to destroy German submarines that they encountered along the Cuban coast. The mission is recounted in Terry Mort's new book, The Hemingway Patrols: Ernest Hemingway and His Hunt for U-Boats.

A Moveable Feast to Be Reissued

Ernest Hemingway's 1964 book, A Moveable Feast is being reissued on July 14, 2009. Billed as the version "Ernest Hemingway intended," the book contains a foreword by Patrick Hemingway and an introduction by Sean Hemingway.

Ernest Hemingway Meets The Incredible Hulk

Ernest Hemingway inspires writers everywhere including the writer of a 1979 episode of the hit television series, The Incredible Hulk. The episode, titled "No Escape," guest stars James Wainwright in the role of Tom Wallace, a mental patient, who is convinced that he is Ernest Hemingway.

Papa Hemingway Coming to a Theater Near You

The Gotham Group recently acquired the film rights to A. E. Hotchner's 1966 book, Papa Hemingway. Papa Hemingway is a personal account of Hotchner and Hemingway's friendship and focuses on the last thirteen years of Hemingway's life.

Hemingway's Cuban Years Now Digitally Preserved

The Cuban government recently announced that they have produced an electronic archive of Ernest Hemingway's Cuban documents. Ada Rosa Alfonso Rosales, the director of the Ernest Hemingway Museum in Cuba, said the documents "shed light into Hemingway's Cuban period, very important and much unknown for his biographers."
